CERAMICS SCULPTURES + MAKING MUSIC\

In this serie i explored the element of music into ceramic sculptures, within these sculptures i focused on representing women.

Project ‘Fluitend rood’ is a sculpture within an insturment, in which i portray the beauty of woman. The instrument is played by blowing into the mouthpiece, creating a clear, high-pichted sound, This sound represents the beauty of woman their laughter, singing and the sirens of old. The attraction and tempatation of woman is depicted in red and the organic
shapes symbolize the diversity of woman.

I’ve made different version of the organic shapes that came out during experimenting with this project.

Project Transcendent tones,

Is a experimental music video where
i collaborated with Alma Zijderveldt.
We explored music instruments and their sound, by
making instruments from found materials, or clay.

Process and collab in Project Making Music:

Alma and I also collaborated with Mariana and Madalena in this project to make music. We jammed with our own music instruments including my flutes from project ‘Fluitend Rood’

We held some jam session together and recorded our experimental music which you can listen to down below

In this project we combined self made instruments which were super fun to make and to create msuic with. Alma and I worked omwn Project transcedent tones and Mariana and Madalena worked own their own project which had both the overlapping element of music. Out of curiosity and we did jam session, not with a particularly outcome or intention but just for fun!
